Job Description
Senior Ticketing Officer is responsible for managing international flight reservations, ticket issuance, and customer support. The role requires strong knowledge of airline ticketing systems, fare structures, and travel regulations. The officer ensures accurate booking, efficient customer service, and compliance with airline policies while coordinating with airlines, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Ticket Reservations and Sales:
Provide information on flight schedules, availability, and fares.
Book and issue tickets accurately for international flights worldwide. (short-haul and long-haul) sectors.
Manage and oversee the ticketing operations for various airlines and travel services.
Handle booking modifications, ticket exchanges, and refunds in accordance with airline policies.
Ensure compliance with airline regulations and security procedures.
Customer Service:
Assist customers with inquiries regarding flight details, baggage policies, and travel requirements.
Handle complaints and provide solutions in a professional manner.
Offer alternative travel options in case of cancellations or delays.
Manage changes to bookings, including rescheduling and rebooking.
Process refunds and cancellations across.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and transactions.
Prepare daily sales reports and submit them to the Ticketing Manager.
Generate and analyze reports on ticket sales, cancellations, and other relevant data.
Compliance and Regulations:
Ensure all bookings comply with airline and aviation regulations.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and travel advisories.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of airline rules, fare structures, and ticketing systems.
Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Coordination:
Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, suppliers, and clients..
Coordinate with other departments for seamless customer service.
Train and support junior ticketing staff in their roles.
Job Specification
Process ticket reservations for international flights worldwide.
Answer inquiries regarding information such as schedules, availability, procedures and policies
Handle inquiries related to flight tickets (short-haul and long-haul) sectors.
Carry out follow-up procedures for customer travel, such as follow-up, brief, guidelines, issuing, rescheduling and Queue management, reconfirmation, of air tickets.
Maximize sales and revenues by converting inquiries related to domestic and international air tickets.
Handle Sales reporting with cancellations, refunds, reschedules, and reissues of Air Tickets.
Ability to work under pressure.
