We are seeking a motivated Junior Ticketing Officer (Domestic Ticketing) to join our travel agency in Thamel, Kathmandu. The role involves handling domestic flight reservations (STOL/TRUNK sectors), providing excellent customer service, and supporting sales growth. Both experienced and fresher candidates, including those trained or interned at travel-related institutes, are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Ticket Reservations and Sales:
Process ticket reservations for domestic flights (STOL/TRUNK sectors).
Provide information on flight schedules, availability, and fares.
Handle booking modifications, ticket exchanges, refunds, and reissues in line with airline policies.
Ensure compliance with airline regulations and security procedures.
Maximize sales and revenue by converting inquiries into confirmed bookings.
Customer Service:
Assist customers with inquiries regarding flights, baggage policies, and travel requirements.
Handle complaints professionally and provide effective solutions.
Offer alternative travel options in case of cancellations or delays.
Manage rescheduling, rebooking, and follow-up procedures.
Process refunds and cancellations efficiently.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of bookings, payments, and transactions.
Prepare and submit daily sales reports to the Ticketing Manager.
Compliance and Coordination:
Ensure all bookings comply with airline and aviation regulations.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and travel advisories.
Liaise with airlines, travel agents, and internal departments for smooth operations.
Job Specification
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or above.
Experienced, fresher, or trained/interned at any travel-related institute.
Technical & Professional Skills:
Basic knowledge of aviation, travel, and tourism industries.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Familiarity with reservation software and online travel agency (OTA) platforms.
Goal-oriented and capable of achieving sales targets.
Languages:
Good command of English, Hindi, and Nepali (speaking, reading, writing).
Interpersonal Skills:
Flexibility, punctuality, and ability to work under pressure.
Teamwork, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
Polite, sincere, and professional demeanor with a dynamic personality.
Quick learner with customer-service orientation.
