Tranquility is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager - HR to support the HR and Admin Head of Department in managing the full scope of HR operations — recruitment, employee relations, compensation, organizational development, and training. This role is central to building a strong HR framework, maintaining an engaged workforce, and ensuring the department runs efficiently in line with company goals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist the HR and Admin Head of Department in running all functional areas of HR, including recruitment, retention, promotion, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organizational development, safety, and training.
- Maintain a highly engaging culture that motivates employees and fosters teamwork, accountability, communication, and productivity.
- Develop and update HR strategy, policy, and procedures in line with organizational goals and Tranquility's requirements.
- Ensure effective implementation of internal controls and proper functioning of the HR management system, including career development and knowledge management.
- Research matters related to conditions of service, payroll, salaries, allowances, and other HR policy matters, and ensure policies and procedures are properly followed.
- Participate in interviewing, hiring, and promotion processes; recommend suitable candidates and continuously review recruitment and promotion processes, preparing reports as required.
- Work closely with executives, employees, and management to advise, counsel, and coach on performance, work relationships, morale, and productivity.
- Evaluate emerging HR trends and advise management on new practices, strategic recruitment, contract modalities, learning plans, and performance evaluation.
- Provide consultation on complex employee relations issues and consult with the corporate office on matters of legal importance.
- Schedule and manage the training calendar, coordinating with relevant HODs to conduct planned trainings for staff growth and career development.
- Maintain accurate records of hires, promotions, transfers, terminations, attendance, leave, discipline, and performance appraisals.
- Establish and map internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for HR management and workflow control.
- Serve as a key point of escalation, communicate organizational developments and changes to staff, and resolve employee concerns.
- Promote ethical and cultural awareness through training, consultation, and communication.
- Advise management on transparent and competitive recruitment processes, clear terms of reference, and standard staffing compliance guidelines.
- Support process improvement, performance management, and development of measurement indicators for tracking results.
- Provide performance management guidance to line managers through coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary support.
- Liaise with all Heads of Department, managers, and other units to resolve complex HR matters.
- Coordinate with HR counterparts at other organizations to exchange knowledge on HR developments, challenges, and emerging issues.
- Ensure smooth flow of information within the company to support overall business operations.
- Act as department leader in the absence of the HR and Admin Head.
- Perform other duties as reasonably required by the company.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with company HR policy across the team.
