Job Description
Gems Group is looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Science Teacher for the Primary School level. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging science lessons, support students’ academic development, and create a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare structured lesson plans in line with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
- Teach science concepts using age-appropriate, interactive, and practical approaches.
- Correct assignments, assess student performance, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Provide academic guidance and additional support to students as needed.
- Conduct, supervise, and monitor examinations and assessments.
- Prepare question papers and evaluate exam results accurately.
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe and positive learning environment.
- Utilize digital tools such as MS Office, Google Classroom, and other educational software for teaching and assessments.
- Participate in professional development programs and training sessions organized by the school.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in science or a related discipline.
- Prior teaching experience at the primary level is preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Practical knowledge of MS Office, Google Classroom, and basic educational software.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.

About Company
GEMS School was established in 1984 AD in Sanepa, Lalitpur, with 78 students and 18 staff members, initially with classes from Nursery to grade III. Since then, it has evolved into a full-fledged secondary school, and in August 2000 AD, the classes from 4 to 10 were shifted from Sanepa to the newly constructed school complex in Dhapakhel. The high school section was started in 2008 AD.
In 2015 AD, primary classes 2 and 3 were also shifted to Dhapakhel, while grade 1 was moved to the present school complex in 2018 AD.
GEMS has excellent infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities. The buildings are spacious and houses spacious classrooms, a conference hall, administrative offices, and well-equipped science and computer labs. The playing fields, swimming pool, futsal, basketball, and volleyball courts, an archery range, as well as tennis courts, apart from the music and martial arts training rooms, provide for more than 26 activities.
