Job Description
The Jr. Accountant will be responsible for assisting in daily accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring proper data entry in Tally. The ideal candidate should have sound knowledge of accounting principles, attention to detail, and familiarity with accounting software (especially Tally).
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions in Tally software.
- Maintain ledgers, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and verify purchase, sales, and expense entries.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, invoices, and payment vouchers.
- Support senior accountants during monthly and yearly closing.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Handle petty cash transactions and maintain cash book.
- Coordinate with internal departments for bills and payment processing.
Job Specification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in management, Accounting, or Finance.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience (freshers with good Tally knowledge can also apply).
- Proficiency in Tally Accounting Software (mandatory).
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
Other Skills:
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
