This is a full-time on-site Accounts Assistant role located in Kathmandu, Nepal. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Finance Department by managing day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring accurate maintenance of financial records. The role involves handling accounting transactions, reconciliations, compliance-related tasks, and financial documentation to support smooth financial operations within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain daily accounting records and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payment documentation.
Manage petty cash and perform regular cash reconciliations.
Assist in TDS, VAT, and other statutory compliance-related activities.
Prepare bank reconciliations and verify financial records.
Maintain fixed asset registers and ensure proper documentation of assets.
Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting month-end closing activities.
Maintain proper filing and record management of financial documents.
Coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders regarding financial information.
Support audit requirements and ensure timely availability of required financial records.
Perform other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned.
Job Specification
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field.
Prior experience in accounting, finance, or related roles will be preferred.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and record management.
Experience in invoicing, bookkeeping, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Good communication skills with the ability to coordinate with employees and stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
Knowledge of TDS, VAT, and regulatory compliance requirements will be an advantage.
Experience in the insurance industry or financial sector will be preferred.
Note: Fresh graduates with a strong academic background and willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
