We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented AccountsHead to lead and manage the company's overall finance and accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, taxation, compliance, internal controls, and financial planning.
The Accounts Head will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management while providing valuable financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the complete accounting and financial operations of the organization.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Monitor the company's financial performance, cash flow, revenue, expenses, and profitability.
Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
Provide accurate and timely financial information and reports to management.
Accounting Operations
Supervise day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and cash management.
Ensure accurate recording and classification of all financial transactions.
Review invoices, payments, receipts, vouchers, and other financial documents.
Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
Ensure timely closing of monthly and annual accounts.
Taxation & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory obligations.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
Support internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards.
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
Establish and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
Monitor financial processes to minimize errors, risks, and financial irregularities.
Review and improve accounting systems, policies, and processes.
Ensure proper authorization and documentation of financial transactions.
Identify opportunities to improve financial efficiency and operational controls.
Team Management
Lead, supervise, and mentor the finance and accounting team.
Assign responsibilities and monitor team performance.
Review the work of accounting staff and ensure accuracy and timely completion of tasks.
Provide guidance and support in resolving accounting and financial issues.
Strategic Support
Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
Advise management on financial planning, cost control, investment decisions, and business performance.
Monitor financial risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Support management in developing long-term financial strategies.
Job Specification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, or equivalent will be highly preferred.
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with experience in a senior or managerial position.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
Excellent knowledge of VAT, TDS, income tax, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Strong proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, ERP systems, or other financial management software.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
High level of integrity, accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
