Job Description

Seven to Nine Café is seeking a creative and experienced Head Chef to lead kitchen operations, design high-quality menus, and ensure excellent food preparation and presentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining consistency, managing kitchen staff, and upholding hygiene and safety standards while delivering an outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and efficiency
  • Plan, develop, and update menus in line with customer preferences and seasonal trends
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation of all food items
  • Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high performance
  • Monitor food preparation processes and ensure adherence to recipes and standards
  • Maintain proper inventory levels, control food costs, and minimize wastage
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
  • Coordinate with the café manager and service team for timely order delivery
  • Handle vendor selection and procurement of fresh and quality ingredients
  • Introduce new dishes and innovations to enhance the café’s menu
Job Specification
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, Hospitality Management, or related field
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Sous Chef, or similar leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations
