Job Description
NEPA Works Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly analytical and mathematically strong professional to develop and optimize the core algorithms of our cross-border B2B supply chain. Operating between US buyers and Chinese manufacturing networks, this role focuses on applying advanced mathematics, artificial intelligence, and algorithmic modeling to improve routing efficiency, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
This is a high-impact role where candidates will work on real-world global logistics problems and build systems that directly influence operational efficiency and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement mathematical models for supply chain optimization
Develop algorithms for routing, demand forecasting, and inventory management
Apply multivariable calculus, graph theory, and AI techniques to logistics challenges
Optimize trans-Pacific shipping routes based on cost and time efficiency
Build predictive models to analyze demand trends across US markets
Improve inventory systems to reduce holding costs and increase efficiency
Collaborate with technical and operations teams to deploy solutions
Core Areas of Work:
Routing optimization using cost functions and network models
Demand forecasting using statistical and mathematical techniques
Inventory optimization using EOQ and related models
Job Specification
Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Candidates from KU, TU, or equivalent universities are encouraged to apply
Master’s degree is an added advantage
Experience:
Fresh graduates with strong mathematical and programming skills OR
Candidates with relevant experience in data science, algorithms, or supply chain
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of multivariable calculus, linear algebra, and statistics
Good understanding of algorithms and problem-solving techniques
Programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages
Basic knowledge of machine learning or data analysis
Ability to work with real-world data and constraints
Additional Requirements:
Familiarity with global trade factors (tariffs, delays, logistics constraints) is a plus
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
Ability to work in a dynamic and problem-solving environment
Work Environment:
Based in Kathmandu, Nepal
Exposure to international supply chain operations (US & China)
