Job OverviewMindrisers Institute of Technologies is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable UI/UX Design Tutor to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training in UI/UX design, mentoring aspiring designers, and helping students develop industry-relevant skills through practical learning experiences. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy teaching, guiding learners, and contributing to the development of future design professionals.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining & Instruction- Deliver structured UI/UX design training sessions covering design principles, user-centered design, design thinking, user research, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, and usability.
- Teach industry-standard tools such as Figma for interface design and prototyping.
- Explain concepts such as information architecture, user flows, typography, color theory, layout systems, responsive design, accessibility and design systems.
- Conduct both theoretical and hands-on practical classes.
- Guide students through real-world design projects and portfolio development.
- Provide one-on-one mentorship and constructive feedback to improve students' design skills.
- Help students understand industry best practices and current UI/UX trends.
- Support students in preparing for internships and employment opportunities.
- Design assignments, quizzes, practical exercises, and project-based assessments.
- Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Review portfolios and capstone projects to ensure industry readiness.
- Monitor student progress and recommend improvement strategies.
- Prepare and regularly update training materials, presentations, assignments and case studies.
- Enhance course content based on emerging UI/UX trends and industry requirements.
- Develop practical exercises that simulate real-world design scenarios.
- Maintain an engaging, interactive, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among students.
- Coordinate with the academic team to ensure smooth course delivery.
- Maintain attendance records, progress reports and classroom documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Multimedia, Graphic Design or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience in UI/UX Design or teaching UI/UX Design.
- Strong command of Figma for interface design and prototyping.
