Job Description
The Medical Sales & Marketing Officer will be responsible for driving business growth within an assigned territory. You will leverage your technical scientific background to engage healthcare professionals, present diagnostic solutions, and manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing and after-sales relationship management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Territory Management: Independently plan and execute daily field visits to hospitals, diagnostic laboratories, and clinics within the assigned territory to meet sales targets.
- Product Detailing: With science background knowledge to provide technical demonstrations and explain the clinical benefits of IVD reagents and equipment.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships with Pathologists, Lab Technicians, and Procurement Officers.
- Negotiation & Closing: Handle pricing negotiations, prepare commercial proposals, and close sales deals independently.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and customer feedback to help refine sales and marketing strategies.
- Reporting: Submit regular Daily Call Reports (DCR), weekly sales forecasts, and expense statements to the management.
Job Specification
- Education: B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or Biotechnology (Life Sciences background is mandatory).
- Experience: Previous experience in medical or pharmaceutical sales is preferred, but fresh graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Nepali for effective product presentations.
- Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
