Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail store. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, retail/FMCG experience, and the ability to manage store operations, staff, inventory, sales, and customer service effectively.
Location: Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur
Key Responsibilities
- Manage overall day-to-day operations of the assigned retail store.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate store staff to achieve operational and sales targets.
- Ensure smooth store opening, closing, and daily operational activities.
- Monitor sales performance and implement measures to achieve sales targets.
- Maintain proper inventory, stock availability, and product display.
- Monitor stock receiving, transfer, replenishment, expiry, damage, and wastage.
- Ensure proper merchandising, planogram, pricing, and promotional displays.
- Maintain high standards of customer service and handle customer complaints professionally.
- Monitor cash handling, billing, and daily sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, hygiene, safety, and security standards.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly/monthly store reports to the concerned department.
- Coordinate with Head Office, Purchase, Warehouse, Accounts, HR, and other departments.
- Identify operational issues and take timely corrective action.
- Ensure proper attendance, discipline, grooming, and performance of store employees.
- Conduct regular stock checks and support stock audits.
- Perform other store-related duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Intermediate or Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in the FMCG, supermarket, retail, or similar industry.
- Proven experience in store/team management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, sales, and customer service.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Basic computer knowledge and reporting skills.
- Must have a valid two-wheeler driving license and own a two-wheeler.
