Job Description
GC International is a well-established manpower recruitment agency dedicated to providing ethical and efficient overseas employment services. We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Accounting
- Maintain and update all financial records, ledgers, and statements accurately and timely.
- Handle daily accounting transactions, including journal entries, billing, receipts, and payments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Reconcile bank statements, verify account balances, and ensure all financial data are correct.
- Manage petty cash and monitor day-to-day financial activities within the organization.
- Handle payroll preparation and disbursement for staff and workers.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with Nepal’s accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies.
- Prepare and file tax returns, VAT reports, and TDS in coordination with auditors or consultants.
- Assist in financial audits and provide necessary documentation and clarifications to auditors.
- Maintain records of invoices, vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents for transparency and accountability.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with banks, vendors, and clients for financial transactions and account settlements.
- Liaise with management to provide financial updates, cost analysis, and budgetary recommendations.
- Support management in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate expense tracking and reporting.
Administrative Support
- Assist in procurement and inventory management from a financial standpoint.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information and ensure data security.
- Suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal control.
Job Specification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of proven experience in accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Finpro, Tally, or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Excellent command of MS Excel, Word, and other Office applications.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
- Ethical and responsible in handling financial data.
- Organized and disciplined with a strong work ethic.
- Capable of working independently under minimal supervision.
- Result-oriented and proactive in meeting deadlines.
