Job Description
The Business Development Manager – Food & Hospitality Services will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding client relationships, and developing new business opportunities across the food service, hospitality, and institutional catering segments. The role requires strong market knowledge, client-facing expertise, and the ability to convert leads into long-term partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in hotels, schools, cafés, corporate catering, hospitals, and institutional food services.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, and market research.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts and partnerships.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and decision-makers.
- Understand client requirements and propose customized food and hospitality solutions.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new clients and coordinate with operations for service delivery.
- Handle client feedback, renewals, and upselling opportunities.
Market & Strategy
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences within the food and hospitality sector.
- Contribute to pricing strategies, service packages, and go-to-market plans.
- Identify new service verticals, partnerships, and expansion opportunities.
Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure feasibility and profitability.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews for management.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and documentation.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in business development or sales within food services, hospitality, catering, or allied industries.
- Proven track record of closing deals and managing key accounts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- In-depth understanding of food service operations and hospitality standards.
- Ability to build trust with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Strategic thinking with strong execution capability.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
