Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and creative Bakery Chef to lead our bakery section. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality bakery products, developing new menu items, and ensuring smooth day-to-day bakery operations while maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and present a variety of bakery products and desserts
- Develop and innovate bakery menu items and specialty pastries
- Ensure consistency in quality, taste, and presentation
- Maintain hygiene, food safety, and production standards
- Train, supervise, and guide bakery staff
- Manage daily bakery operations efficiently
- Handle inventory management, ingredient sourcing, and cost control
- Coordinate with the culinary team for events and seasonal menus
Job Specification
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in bakery and pastry
- Certification or training in Bakery, Pastry, or Culinary Arts (preferred)
- Experience in a supervisory or team-handling role
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of modern bakery techniques and dessert preparation
- Creativity and attention to detail in presentation
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage and lead a small team
- Strong understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
