Classic Freight Nepal is looking for a skilled and experienced Freight Forwarding professional to manage and coordinate international shipments from origin to final destination. The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of freight forwarding operations, shipping documentation, customs coordination, freight rates, and international logistics.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth and timely shipment execution while maintaining effective communication with customers, overseas agents, carriers, customs representatives, transporters, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end freight forwarding operations for international shipments.
- Coordinate air, sea, road, and multimodal freight according to shipment requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transporters, customs brokers, and customers.
- Obtain and evaluate freight quotations and coordinate competitive freight rates with carriers and agents.
- Arrange cargo bookings and ensure shipments are processed according to agreed schedules.
- Prepare, verify, and maintain accurate shipping, commercial, and customs-related documentation.
- Monitor shipment schedules, including ETD, ETA, transshipment, arrival, and final delivery.
- Follow up on Bill of Lading (BL), Airway Bill (AWB), Delivery Order (DO), Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with customs clearance and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely cargo clearance and delivery.
- Track shipments and provide timely updates to customers and management.
- Coordinate cargo pickup, inland transportation, delivery, warehousing, and related logistics activities.
- Identify and resolve shipment delays, documentation issues, damages, shortages, and other operational challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, quotations, freight rates, invoices, customer details, and operational documents.
- Coordinate with the Finance Department regarding freight invoices, vendor payments, customer billing, and related financial matters.
- Negotiate and coordinate with carriers, overseas agents, and service providers to achieve competitive rates and efficient services.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, international agents, carriers, and logistics partners.
- Ensure all freight forwarding activities comply with company policies and applicable industry and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular shipment, operational, and performance reports for management.
- Support customer retention and business development by providing efficient service and identifying potential logistics opportunities.
- Coordinate with team members and provide guidance where required to ensure smooth daily operations.
