Job Description
The Sub-Engineer / Civil Engineer will be responsible for supervising and monitoring construction activities at the project site to ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The role involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and site teams while maintaining accurate site documentation, measurements, and progress reports to support efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure construction work is executed according to approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and quality standards.
- Prepare and verify site measurements, quantity calculations, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, engineers, and labor teams to ensure smooth site operations.
- Maintain proper documentation of site activities, materials, and progress records.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality control procedures.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and effective resource utilization.
- Monitor and verify material quantities and ensure proper usage at the site.
- Report project progress, site issues, and delays to senior engineers or project managers.
- Assist in preparing contractor bills, BOQ verification, and maintaining measurement books (MB).
Job Specification
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of experience in construction or infrastructure projects.
- Technical Skills:
- Good knowledge of construction methods and site supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOQ.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Office.
- Other Skills:
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Good problem-solving and reporting abilities.
