The Senior Sales & Marketing Executive is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, and expanding the company's customer portfolio. The role involves promoting freight forwarding and logistics solutions, preparing competitive quotations, negotiating commercial terms, managing customer relationships, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure exceptional service delivery. The incumbent will play a key role in achieving the company's sales, revenue, and profitability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Air Freight, Sea Freight (FCL/LCL), Import & Export Logistics, Customs Clearance, Transportation, Warehousing, Project Cargo, and Supply Chain Solutions.
- Generate new business through cold calling, client visits, networking, referrals, digital platforms, and market research.
- Build, maintain, and strengthen long-term relationships with importers, exporters, manufacturers, traders, corporate organizations, NGOs/INGOs, freight partners, and e-commerce businesses.
- Achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, revenue, and gross profit targets.
- Prepare and implement sales plans, customer visit schedules, and territory development strategies.
Customer Relationship Management
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, negotiations, and follow-ups to secure new business opportunities.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate logistics solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service and timely communication.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Quotation & Commercial Management
- Coordinate with Pricing and Operations teams to prepare accurate, competitive, and profitable quotations.
- Negotiate freight rates, service agreements, and commercial contracts while maintaining company profitability.
- Monitor market pricing, competitor activities, and industry trends to support effective pricing strategies.
Sales Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate CRM records, customer databases, sales pipelines, quotations, and sales forecasts.
- Prepare regular sales reports, business development updates, and performance analyses for management.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Coordination & Operations Support
- Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Documentation, Pricing, and Finance teams to ensure smooth shipment execution and timely customer service.
- Coordinate internally to resolve customer issues efficiently and maintain service excellence.
Credit Control & Collections
- Monitor customer payment status and ensure compliance with approved credit terms.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and support the Finance Department in minimizing overdue accounts and bad debts.
Market Representation & Compliance
- Represent the company professionally at client meetings, exhibitions, networking events, trade fairs, and business forums.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information, pricing, contracts, and company business strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Sales, Pricing, Credit Control, Customer Service, Code of Conduct, Compliance, and Anti-Bribery policies.
- Perform any other sales and business development responsibilities assigned by management.
