Job Description

Berkeley Travel and Tourism is looking for an experienced and customer-focused Airline Ticketing Officer to manage airline reservations, ticketing, re-issuance, cancellations, and other travel-related services. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Galileo, Amadeus, and Sabre GDS systems, along with strong knowledge of international travel procedures and visa documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle airline reservations and ticketing using GDS systems.
  • Search flight availability, prepare quotations, make reservations, and issue tickets.
  • Process ticket issuance, re-issuance, revalidation, rebooking, and cancellations.
  • Check flight schedules, fares, fare rules, availability, and perform fare calculations.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries.
  • Follow up on visa applications, ticketing, bookings, and other travel arrangements.
  • Stay updated on airline policies, visa requirements, travel regulations, and destination-specific entry requirements.
  • Handle customer issues and provide appropriate travel solutions.
Job Specification
  • Minimum +2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in airline ticketing and travel agency operations.
  • Practical working knowledge of Galileo, Amadeus, and Sabre GDS.
  • Good understanding of international travel procedures, airline policies, and visa requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, online booking systems, and travel-related software.
  • Excellent English communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with hands-on experience in outbound tourism, GDS ticketing, visa documentation, VFS appointment booking, hotel reservations, travel insurance, and international travel arrangements will be highly preferred. Experience handling visa applications for UK, Schengen, USA, Canada, Australia, and other major destinations will be an added advantage.
