Role Overview:
The English Teacher will be responsible for delivering high-quality education to Grade 9 and 10 students, ensuring an engaging and effective learning experience. The role requires lesson planning, classroom management, student supervision, and continuous assessment to improve student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver lessons in alignment with the curriculum.
- Facilitate communication, discussions, and interactive learning activities.
- Supervise and mentor students in subject-related matters.
- Maintain and update the Learning Management System (LMS) with lesson plans, assignments, and study materials.
- Conduct evaluations, including setting questions, invigilating quizzes/exams, and grading answer sheets.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and prepare result assessments.
- Implement Thinking-Based Learning (TBL) and Flipped Classroom Pedagogy as compulsory teaching methods.
Job Specification
- Education: Master’s degree in English, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with American Curriculum
- Strong lesson planning and curriculum development skills.
- Excellent communication and classroom management abilities.
- Proficiency in digital teaching tools and LMS platforms.
- Ability to conduct assessments, evaluate student performance, and provide feedback.
- Adaptability in implementing modern teaching methodologies such as Thinking-Based Learning and Flipped Classroom Pedagogy.
