Senior Accountant / Chartered Accountant

Photon Energy Development Company Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a competent and detail-oriented Senior Accountant / Chartered Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth and decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, and audit coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and periodic financial analyses.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Manage budgeting, financial forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
• Prepare and submit VAT, TDS, income tax, and other statutory filings within prescribed deadlines.
• Monitor financial controls and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Support management in financial planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making.
• Liaise with banks, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders as required.
• Maintain proper financial records and documentation in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management.
• Minimum 5–8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, auditing, or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of Nepal Financial Reporting Standards (NFRS), taxation, and corporate finance.
• Experience in handling audits, financial reporting, and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in hydropower, energy, infrastructure, or project-based organizations will be an added advantage.
