Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Fresher) to support construction activities and ensure projects are executed to required specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. The role involves site monitoring, measurement and BOQ support, and coordination across contractors and internal teams to keep work on schedule and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with construction site supervision by monitoring daily work progress and ensuring adherence to approved drawings and technical specifications.
• Support quantity surveying activities by measuring works, maintaining measurement records, and assisting in BOQ/variation documentation.
• Prepare and update BOQ-related inputs and quantity summaries based on site measurements and contractor submissions.
• Coordinate with contractors, site supervisors, and project teams to resolve site issues and track action items.
• Support quality control checks by helping verify materials, workmanship, and compliance with relevant standards and approved methods.
• Assist in maintaining project documentation, including site reports, checklists, inspection records, and progress updates.
• Help implement safety compliance on-site by following safety plans, participating in inspections, and reporting hazards promptly.

• Bachelor's in civil engineering (or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Fresher with internship or practical exposure to construction site activities (site measurement, supervision support, or basic quantity surveying).
• Construction Site Supervision & Monitoring — hands-on support in daily site checks, progress tracking, and compliance with drawings/specifications.
• Quantity Surveying & BOQ Preparation — capable of supporting take-offs, measurements, BOQ compilation, and basic variation quantity records.
• AutoCAD — proficient in producing and updating basic drawings/markups, including as-built support and drawing revisions.
• Quality Control — ability to support material/workmanship inspections using checklists and standard quality procedures.
• Safety Compliance — knowledge of site safety practices, PPE usage, hazard reporting, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Project Coordination & Site Supervision — support coordination of daily schedules, follow-ups with contractors, and maintenance of site execution records.
• Basic knowledge of construction materials and methods — understanding of concrete, reinforcement, masonry, finishes, and standard curing/testing practices.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with measurement standards and BOQ formats used in Nepal construction projects.
• Exposure to site reporting tools (digital logs, spreadsheets) for progress and inspection documentation.
• Internship or project experience involving tender/estimation support and site-to-drawing quantity alignment.
