Job Description
- Training Program Development: Design and implement engaging and well-structured training sessions focused on strategic play, team coordination, and individual skill enhancement for players of all levels.
- Develop Curriculum: Design a comprehensive training curriculum tailored to different skill levels, such as beginner and intermediate, with a focus on enhancing in-game skills, promoting physical well-being, and developing essential soft skills.
- Player Development: Evaluate individual and team performance to identify strengths and areas for growth. Create well-tailored development plans to help players progress in their gameplay and sports career.
- Skill Instruction: Deliver effective coaching on game mechanics, strategies, role-specific gameplay, and tactical decision-making, ensuring players understand and apply the learned concepts during practice and competitions.
- Mentorship & Motivation: Foster a positive and supportive environment for players to thrive. Act as a mentor to instil a strong work ethic, discipline, and sportsmanship in aspiring athletes.
- Promote Physical Well-Being: Implement routines that encourage physical health, including exercises to prevent health risks, promote proper posture, and ensure players maintain a balanced lifestyle with regular breaks, physical fitness, and mental wellness activities.
- Game Preparation: Prepare players for competitive events by reviewing match strategies, conducting team briefings, debriefing, and coordinating practice matches for optimal performance.
- Feedback & Evaluation: Provide continuous, constructive feedback to players on their gameplay, communication, and teamwork. Maintain open communication with players and their guardians regarding progress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with academy staff, including nutritionists, physiotherapists, coaches, gaming analysts, and sports staff to ensure a consistent and unified approach to player development and team strategy.
- Event Participation: Lead and support teams during local, national, and international esports events and tournaments. Represent TDC’s sports division at events and community engagements.
- Continual Learning: Stay up-to-date on sports industry trends, advancements in training techniques, and coaching techniques by participating in professional development workshops.
Job Specification
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or same in equivalent field.
- Proven coaching or competitive experience in swimming at a grassroots, competitive, or elite level for 5 years.
- Certifications from recognized swimming associations (e.g., FINA, ASCA, or equivalent) are a plus. Certification of swimming courses are also a plus.
- Strong technical knowledge of swimming techniques, training methodologies, and athlete development.
- Passion for coaching and inspiring young swimmers to excel.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive team atmosphere.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with international Swimming standards and competitive environments.
- Knowledge of mental conditioning, player welfare, and injury prevention specific to athletes.
About Company
GEMS School was established in 1984 AD in Sanepa, Lalitpur, with 78 students and 18 staff members, initially with classes from Nursery to grade III. Since then, it has evolved into a full-fledged secondary school, and in August 2000 AD, the classes from 4 to 10 were shifted from Sanepa to the newly constructed school complex in Dhapakhel. The high school section was started in 2008 AD.
In 2015 AD, primary classes 2 and 3 were also shifted to Dhapakhel, while grade 1 was moved to the present school complex in 2018 AD.
GEMS has excellent infrastructure with state-of-the-art facilities. The buildings are spacious and houses spacious classrooms, a conference hall, administrative offices, and well-equipped science and computer labs. The playing fields, swimming pool, futsal, basketball, and volleyball courts, an archery range, as well as tennis courts, apart from the music and martial arts training rooms, provide for more than 26 activities.
