We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and student-focused Sports Science Faculty for grade 11 and 12 as per the National Examination Board curriculum. The candidate should possess strong expertise, proven expertise teaching in progressive school environments, and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive, safe, and high-performing learning culture.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and deliver engaging Sports Science lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of Curriculum Development Center, (CDC) Nepal.
- Teach key Sports Science strands including
- Kinesiology, Exercise physiology, Biomechanics, Sports medicines, Sports psychology & sociology,
- Sports training, Sports management, Anthropometric measurement, Athletics, Yoga and physical fitness etc.
- Promote logical reasoning, critical thinking, and structured problem-solving strategies to students.
- Conduct different sports training and practical as mentioned in course work.
- Use differentiated instruction to address diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Integrate real-life applications, investigations, and technology into lessons.
- Maintain a structured, and positive classroom environment.
- Hands on experience on project based learning and activity based learning.
Academic Monitoring and Evaluation
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with National Examination Board assessment objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and learning evidence.
- Provide timely, specific, and constructive feedback to support student improvement.
- Prepare academic reports and participate actively in parent teacher meetings.
Student Support
- Identify learning gaps and provide remediation or enrichment support.
- Support students in developing confidence and a positive mindset towards Sports Science.
- Promote learner responsibility, perseverance, and problem-solving resilience.
- Ensure strict adherence to child safeguarding, discipline, and well-being policies.
Professional Responsibilities
- Participate in curriculum planning, moderation, and departmental meetings.
- Contribute to interdisciplinary projects, and academic events.
- Support Sports Science-related competitions, clubs, and enrichment activities.
- Engage in continuous professional development related to CDC teaching learning pedagogy and andragogy.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, coordinators, and school leadership.
- Adhere to school policies, professional standards, and the professional code of conduct.
