Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Manual QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for testing web and mobile applications, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality product delivery. This role requires a basic understanding of testing methodologies and strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand project requirements, business flows, and functional specifications
- Design, write, review, and execute test cases and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing including functional, regression, UI, and smoke testing
- Identify, document, and track bugs using appropriate tools
- Collaborate closely with developers and team members to resolve issues
- Re-test resolved defects and ensure proper closure
- Maintain test documentation, reports, and testing records
- Assist in improving testing processes, standards, and best practices
Job Specification
- Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with test case design and bug reporting
- Basic knowledge of tools like Jira, Trello, or similar tracking tools
- Understanding of web and mobile application testing
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL is an advantage)
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field
- Internship or prior experience in QA/testing
- Exposure to API testing tools (e.g., Postman) is an added advantage
