Job Description
The Quality Control Officer is responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves conducting inspections, maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS). The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in quality assurance within the food or manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Ensure compliance with ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, and QMS requirements.
Maintain quality records, reports, and audit documentation.
Identify non-conformities and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with production and procurement teams to resolve quality issues.
Support internal audits and external certification processes.
Train staff on quality, hygiene, and safety standards.
Monitor packaging, labeling, and storage compliance.
Job Specification
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related discipline.
Additional certifications in ISO 9001, SGMP, HACCP, or Internal Auditing preferred.
Experience Requirement
Minimum 2 years of professional experience in Quality Control within the food or manufacturing industry.
Hands-on experience in product testing, compliance audits, and documentation.
Knowledge Requirements
Strong understanding of ISO standards, GMP, HACCP, and QMS.
Familiarity with Nepal Food Safety Regulations and international quality benchmarks.
Knowledge of laboratory testing methods (microbiological, chemical, sensory).
Awareness of packaging, labeling, and storage compliance.
