The Margin Lending Officer will be responsible for managing margin lending operations, evaluating client portfolios, ensuring compliance with margin requirements, and supporting clients with market-related insights. The role requires strong knowledge of the Nepalese share market and experience in margin-based investment services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor margin lending accounts and ensure proper collateral management.
- Evaluate clients’ share portfolios and assess risk associated with margin financing.
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to margin trading.
- Coordinate with trading, settlement, and compliance teams for margin-related transactions.
- Monitor stock market movements and advise management regarding risk exposure.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of margin lending transactions.
- Ensure timely margin calls and follow-up with clients regarding collateral requirements.
- Provide clients with information about market trends, portfolio performance, and margin policies.
- Support clients with trading and investment-related queries.
- Prepare reports related to margin lending activities and risk analysis.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in margin lending or related capital market operations.
- Candidates with experience in Banks, Financial Institutions, or Brokerage Companies will be given preference.
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of the Nepalese share market and capital market operations.
- Good understanding of margin lending mechanisms and risk management.
- Familiarity with NEPSE trading systems and brokerage operations.
- Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
- Ability to monitor market trends and assess portfolio risk.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and reporting tools.
