Job Description

Janaki Polychem Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and result-oriented Purchase Officer to manage procurement activities, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure the timely procurement of materials required for business operations. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of import procedures from India, customs documentation, supplier management, and negotiation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute procurement activities in line with company requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and quality products.
  • Handle procurement of raw materials, spare parts, and other operational requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and procurement records.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Manage import documentation and ensure compliance with Indian customs procedures.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance-related procurement for imported goods from India.
  • Monitor inventory requirements and maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare procurement reports and assist management with purchasing analysis and cost optimization.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor's Degree (Completed) in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Purchase, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Sound knowledge of Indian customs procedures and import documentation.
  • Good understanding of repair and maintenance procurement related to imports from India.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fluency in English, Nepali, and Hindi.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet procurement deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
