Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Technician to support Andrology and IVF laboratory operations. The role involves semen analysis, ART procedure support, cryopreservation, quality control, and laboratory documentation while ensuring high standards of patient care and compliance.
Freshers with relevant qualifications and strong technical aptitude are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Technical & Laboratory Responsibilities
Perform routine semen analysis using sperm counting chambers (Makler/Wonder chamber)
Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, identification, and delivery
Assess sperm concentration, motility, morphology, leukocytes, and immature germ cells
Process semen samples for ART procedures and Intrauterine Insemination (IUI)
Perform semen cryopreservation
Handle shipping, receiving, and disposition of frozen samples
Prepare culture media for ART and IUI procedures
Conduct DNA Fragmentation tests
PRP procedure preparation (loading)
Maintain liquid nitrogen levels and sperm sample inventory daily
Quality Control & Compliance
Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for lab media and equipment
Conduct calibration and preventive maintenance checks of instruments
Maintain quality control in Andrology Lab
Maintain stock register for media and consumables (Embryology & Andrology Lab)
Report technical faults or equipment breakdowns to Lab Manager / Center Head
Ensure proper lab cleaning and hygiene standards.
Documentation & Coordination
Manage IVF patient data and laboratory documentation
Coordinate with front desk, counselors, embryologists, doctors, and nursing staff
Maintain accurate records of procedures and samples.
Patient Interaction
Provide pre- and post-sample collection counselling
Maintain strong and professional communication with patients throughout procedures
Job Specification
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of semen analysis and andrology lab procedures
Should have experience in Hospital / Diagnostic
Understanding of ART & IUI laboratory processes
Attention to detail and high accuracy in reporting
Knowledge of laboratory quality control standards
Good communication and patient-handling skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented clinical environment
