Role Overview
The Math Mentor is responsible for ensuring high-quality implementation of the KUMON program across assigned schools. This role involves mentoring teachers, guiding students, monitoring classroom performance, and driving continuous improvement in learning outcomes.
The position requires regular school visits, strong engagement with students and teachers, and a proactive approach to enhancing educational quality through structured and creative methods.
Key Responsibilities
Teacher Training & Support
Train and mentor KUMON class teachers on effective teaching methodologies
Guide teachers in addressing student challenges constructively
Promote interactive, engaging, and student-focused learning environments
Conduct regular training and skill enhancement sessions
Student Guidance & Engagement
Monitor student progress and learning behavior
Motivate and recognize high-performing students
Identify struggling students and provide targeted support strategies
Introduce engaging learning activities such as games and competitions
Classroom Quality Assurance
Conduct regular visits to assigned schools
Ensure proper implementation of the KUMON methodology
Observe classroom practices and provide constructive feedback
Maintain quality standards across all classrooms
Math Assessment & Analysis
Evaluate student worksheets and academic performance
Analyze learning trends and identify improvement areas
Conduct case studies for individual student development
Recommend personalized learning interventions
Innovation & Problem-Solving
Develop creative approaches to improve student engagement
Introduce innovative tools and teaching techniques
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance program effectiveness
School Coordination & Field Visits
Conduct frequent school visits, especially during program setup
Maintain regular rotational visits across assigned schools
Build strong relationships with teachers, students, and school management

Improvement in student performance and engagement levels
Positive feedback from teachers and partner schools
Effective implementation of creative classroom initiatives
Accuracy and timeliness in assessments and reporting

Job Specification
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field
- Candidates with strong academic background in Mathematics will be preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, or a similar role
- Experience working with school students or academic programs is preferred
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong understanding of mathematics concepts and problem-solving techniques
- Ability to assess and analyze student performance
- Training and mentoring capability for teachers
- Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
