Job Description
We are seeking a passionate, innovative, and qualified Computer Subject Teacher to join our Lower Secondary team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, learner-centred computer science lessons for Grades 6–8, nurture students' digital literacy, and contribute actively to the school's vision of producing confident, capable, and creative champions.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver effective Computer Science lessons aligned with the NCF 2076 curriculum for Grades 6–8
Foster computational thinking, coding, and digital literacy skills among students
Design and implement project-based and inquiry-driven learning activities
Integrate STEAM approaches to make technology learning contextual and cross-disciplinary
Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies; maintain accurate records
Prepare and update lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments on time
Support and supervise the school's Computer/Robotics Club activities
Collaborate with colleagues across departments in interdisciplinary projects
Communicate proactively with parents regarding student progress and behaviour
Uphold the school's Character Card (CCT) behaviour management framework
Participate in Teacher Boot Camps, professional development sessions, and school events
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
Job Specification
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field (mandatory)
Minimum 1 year of teaching experience at the lower secondary level (freshers with strong subject knowledge are encouraged to apply)
Sound knowledge of Nepal's NCF 2076 and competency-based education principles
Proficiency in core computer applications: MS Office Suite, Google Workspace
Ability to teach basic programming concepts (Scratch, Python, or similar) and internet safety
Strong communication skills in both Nepali and English
Collaborative team player with a positive, student-centered attitude
Preferred/Value Added Skills
Experience with robotics kits (LEGO Mindstorms, Arduino, or similar)
Knowledge of AI, coding platforms, or educational technology tools
Experience facilitating STEAM or project-based learning activities
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or digital classroom tools
Active involvement in student clubs, MUN, or co-curricular programmes
