Job Description

Himmalagari Tours and Travels Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Ticketing Manager – International Ticketing will be responsible for managing the company’s international air ticketing operations, ensuring efficient reservation and ticketing services, competitive fares, accurate documentation, and high-quality customer service. The position will supervise the ticketing team, coordinate with airlines and GDS providers, manage complex international itineraries, and ensure that all ticketing activities comply with airline and company policies

  • Manage day-to-day international air ticketing and reservation operations.
  • Handle international flight reservations, issuance, reissuance, revalidation, refunds, cancellations, and voids.
  • Search and compare competitive international airfares and routing options.
  • Prepare suitable flight itineraries based on client requirements, budget, and travel dates.
  • Handle complex itineraries involving multiple destinations, airlines, stopovers, and transit points.
  • Ensure correct passenger names, travel dates, flight sectors, baggage allowances, fare rules, and ticket conditions before issuance.
  • Monitor seat availability and fare changes and provide timely updates to clients and internal teams.
  • Handle urgent and last-minute ticketing requirements.
  • Work efficiently with GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo or other reservation systems used by the company.
  • Maintain knowledge of airline fare rules, booking classes, ticketing time limits, baggage policies, and restrictions.
  • Coordinate with airline sales offices and reservation departments regarding special cases, schedule changes, cancellations, and irregular operations.
  • Follow airline-specific procedures for refunds, ADM/ACM, reissues, and ticket corrections.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of airline schedules, routes, and international fare structures.
  • Handle important corporate clients, travel partners, agents, and VIP customers.
  • Provide professional assistance regarding flight options, fares, changes, cancellations, refunds, and travel restrictions.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ticketing-related issues promptly.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, airlines, and other business partners.
  • Ensure timely communication regarding schedule changes, flight cancellations, delays, and other operational issues.
  • Maintain proper records of ticket sales, refunds, cancellations, and reissues.
  • Coordinate with the accounts/finance department for ticketing reconciliation and outstanding payments.
  • Monitor profitability and margins on international ticketing transactions.
Job Specification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Travel & Tourism, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Relevant certification in international air ticketing or IATA/GDS training will be an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of international air ticketing and reservation procedures.
  • Good knowledge of at least one major GDS such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Strong understanding of international airline fares, fare rules, ticketing procedures, refunds, and reissues.

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial ticketing position is preferred.
