Job Description
Himalayan Trust Nepal invites applicants for one (1) Health Assistant (HA) to work at Pike Rural George Hunter Health Clinic Service located in Likhupike Rural Municipality-1, Goli, Solukhumbu.
- Completion of a three-year Health Assistant (HA) course from a recognized institution
- Must be registered with the Nepal Health Professional Council (NHPC)
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in both English and Nepali (written and spoken)
- Physically fit and willing to work in rural and hilly areas
Job Specification
- Conduct patient examinations at the clinic from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and provide home visits within the community as required
- Prescribe medications, dispense medicines, and monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups
- Refer patients to hospitals or specialists for advanced medical care when necessary
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records, including documentation and relevant photographs (clinic activities and treatment cases)
- Ensure all medical services comply with government regulations and healthcare standards
- Collect patient fees through official receipts and submit them to the concerned authority on a monthly basis
- Support the overall management and smooth operation of the clinic alongside providing clinical care
- Build and maintain strong relationships with the Clinic Management Committee and local community
- Prepare and submit monthly progress reports to Himalayan Trust Nepal, highlighting medical services and outcomes
- Perform any other duties assigned in line with the role and responsibilities
