Senior Full Stack Developer (Backend)

Code Mantra is building an AI-powered education platform serving students, parents, teachers, and administrators worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong backend expertise to take ownership of building scalable, secure, and production-ready systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and REST APIs.
• Build secure authentication, authorization, and API systems.
• Design database schemas and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to frontend development and end-to-end feature delivery.
• Participate in system architecture and technical decision-making.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor team members when required.
• Work closely with founders, product, design, and engineering teams.
• Take ownership of features from concept through deployment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend development and system design experience.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production-ready applications.
• Experience designing APIs and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience with D2C products such as SaaS, EdTech, E-commerce, Consumer Applications, Subscription Products, or Marketplaces.
• Ability to independently take ownership of technical deliverables.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills.

Required Skills

• Backend: Node.js, NestJS/Express.js, TypeScript, REST APIs, JWT/OAuth/RBAC, ORM (TypeORM/Prisma/Sequelize), API Security, System Design
• Frontend: React.js, Next.js, JavaScript, TypeScript
• Database: MySQL/PostgreSQL, Database Design, Query Optimization, Redis
• Infrastructure: Docker, Git, Linux, Nginx, CI/CD
