Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Road Engineer to design, plan, and oversee road construction and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards while managing budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communication. This role requires expertise in civil engineering principles, CAD software, and sustainable infrastructure practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Planning:
- Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and cost estimates using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Conduct feasibility studies, traffic analysis, and geotechnical assessments.
- Ensure designs align with local regulations.
Project Management:
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation plans.
- Supervise contractors, technicians, and field staff.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (surveyors, urban planners, environmental experts).
Construction Supervision:
- Monitor on-site progress, quality control, and safety protocols (OSHA compliance).
- Resolve technical issues and conduct site inspections.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure adherence to environmental and regulatory standards.
- Prepare progress reports, Running Bill, Variation Order etc.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with clients, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
- Present project updates and address concerns in meetings.
Innovation:
- Research and integrate sustainable materials, smart technologies, and cost-effective methods.
Fooding and lodging will be provided by the company.
Job Specification
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience:
- 3–4 years in road/highway engineering.
- Experience with Total Station, Level Machine, or project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is a plus.
