Job Description
We are looking for a competent Hydromechanical Supervisor to supervise and coordinate hydromechanical installation, construction, maintenance, testing, and commissioning activities at project sites. The position requires practical mechanical knowledge, site supervision skills, and the ability to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily hydromechanical works at the project site and ensure activities are carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
Monitor installation, alignment, assembly, and operation of hydromechanical equipment and systems.
Coordinate with engineers, contractors, technicians, and site teams for smooth execution of mechanical works.
Ensure proper handling, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components such as gates, valves, pumps, piping systems, and related equipment.
Inspect work progress and ensure compliance with quality standards and safety procedures.
Assist engineers during testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
Identify site issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution.
Maintain daily work records, inspection reports, and progress updates.
Ensure availability and proper use of tools, equipment, and materials at site.
Support implementation of health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Monitor workforce performance and guide technicians and workers during site activities.
Job Specification
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Relevant experience in hydromechanical works, mechanical installation, or construction projects preferred.
Practical knowledge of mechanical equipment installation and maintenance.
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and technical documents.
Experience in site supervision and coordination.
Good communication and leadership skills.
Ability to work in challenging site environments.
Preferred Skills
Experience in hydropower, irrigation, water supply, or heavy mechanical projects.
Knowledge of fabrication, welding, piping, and equipment assembly works.
Familiarity with inspection procedures and quality control practices.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and reporting procedures.
