Job Description
  • Lead and develop curriculum for Youth Program sessions (academic or empowerment sessions, after school or homework help sessions) 2-3x each week during school at two local secondary schools and one local primary school partners.
  • Maintain positive partner school relationships and manage regular communication with partner schools, potential and interested schools, student groups and partnering organizations.
  • Facilitate after school tutoring, academic, and extracurricular sessions for local school children with international volunteers to participate.
  • Plan logistics with rural and remote schools in the region to develop further relationships through our Painting Program, beautifying rural classrooms around Indrawati Gaunpalika.
  • Assisting with outside of program translation needs for operational and organizational purposes.

Job Specification
  • Fluent Nepali - written and oral
  • English fluency - written and oral
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
  • Comfortable living communally and in a rural, rustic setting (basic earthen homes and shared bathroom/kitchen/common spaces or a local family’s homestay)
  • Previous classroom teaching experience and/or youth leadership experience
  • Microsoft Office applications competency (word, excel, powerpoint)
  • Enjoy outside activities and interested in walking 1-2 km to local schools regularly
