Position: Deputy Chief of Party (Recent Job)

Job Description

• Oversee management and operations of the project as a whole
• Act for or represent the Chief of Party as necessary.
• Serves as member of project’s Senior Management Team
• Manages work planning, budgeting and reporting calendars
• Review the quality of all major project deliverables, including workplans, monitoring and evaluation plans, project strategies and policies, and other major outputs.
• Ensures compliance with donor policies and mandates.
• Coordinates development of financial reporting in collaboration with Finance Director.
• Manages modification with sub-recipients, communicates with partners about budgets and modifications.
• Proposes systems and operations for maximum productivity, together with the Finance Director and Chief of Party
• Supports project’s knowledge management, learning and external communications agendas
• Travels to the field to provide technical and managerial oversight
