Consultancy to develop two videos on Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres for child friendly school initiatives

Background

Welthungerhilfe (WHH) is one of Germany’s leading non-governmental organizations with a dual mandate in both development cooperation and emergency response. WHH has been operational in Nepal since 2012, and currently managing different projects in eight districts under four thematic areas (sectors): food and nutrition security, WASH, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and Right to Food and empowerment. WHH works hand in hand with civil society in Nepal to empower socially marginalized and economically poor citizens to strengthen their resilience and to ensure their right to adequate food and nutrition.

Project background

The project entitled “Early Childhood Development (ECD) centres for child friendly school initiatives” is implemented in Saptari district through the implementing partner Sabal Nepal. The overall objective of the project is to contribute to early childhood development through child-friendly school initiatives. In addition to the construction of ECD centres, the project provides training to teachers on teaching strategies for pre-schoolers and WASH & nutrition, as well as kitchen garden training to parents of ECD children.

Objective of the assignment

To produce one short high-quality video (maximum 2 minutes) and one extended video up to 7/8 minutes (with Nepali subtitles) highlighting key achievements in contributing to early childhood development through child- friendly school initiatives.
