Job Description

Duty Station: Basundhara-Kathmandu with frequent travel throughout Nepal 

  • The major functions include product development related to application of IT in agriculture including application of robotics and satellite Imergy system.
  • Support Sales and Marketing team for the development and introduction of digital marketing tools among the variety of customer center.
  • Development of supply chain tracking and management tools to strengthen supply chain system of the company.
  • Responsible for the development of data management system of farming community including daily farm operation tracking system of company owned farm.
  • Overall responsible to maintain essential IT operations, installing and configuring including operating systems, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware.
  • Implement agricultural engineer programs to improvise quality standards in agricultural products.
  • Should be engaged in developing (Machineries Data Base, Suppliers Monitoring system, Effective Custom Hiring management system).
  • Passionate on implementing Robotics in agriculture like smart Agro, plant disease detection robot.
  • Conduct research on latest trends in agricultural engineering and farming aspects.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)
  • Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Possibly training more junior staff members
  • Cyber security, website maintenance, assist human Resource, customer touch points, maintenance
  • Manage technology services that meet operational requirements in designated area(s) 
  • Serves as the lead IT liaison with senior administration
  • Provides technical leadership on a variety of highly specialized project-related activities requiring expertise in specific technical areas for core information technology systems

Job Specification

  • Minimum 2-3 Years of experience in related field such as product development. At-least 1 year experience in agriculture related application/software development shall be
  • ‌Knowledge on switch, Router, Firewall.
  • Knowledge of cyber security and website handling.
  • Knowledge of GIS and Remote Sensing.
  • Knowledge of digitization in Agro-field based on AI.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Up-to-date with latest national & International trends and IT best practices
  • IT or a related field.
