Job Description

The Humanitarian Specialist plays a leadership role in humanitarian preparedness and response for the UNFPA Nepal country and provincial offices. S/he is responsible for providing technical inputs to the planning, conceptualization, implementation, monitoring of the UNFPA supported humanitarian preparedness and response initiatives across the country. S/he will maintain collaborative relationships with the relevant government line ministries and departments, civil society organizations, the United Nations funds, programmes and specialized agencies and other humanitarian partners, at all levels. Reporting directly to the Deputy Representative, h/she will be responsible for:

  • Humanitarian Coordination
  • Programme Development and Implementation
  • Advocacy, Communication and Resource Mobilization
