Job Description

The Role

The Human Resources Officer will steer the administrative aspect of HR management with regards to file keeping, recruitment, payroll, absence management, contracting, induction. The Officer will be responsible for providing strategic HR and administrative support to the to deliver Country’s strategic goals.

What we are looking for

The Human Resources Officer will require to be exceptional, dedicated, and highly motivated professional, with a strong commitment to Oxfam's values and beliefs with the following qualification and competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline in Management.(Desirable: MBA with HR specialization) 
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role with INGO or development or social sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of Nepal Labour Law/ Act and Income Tax Act.
  • Excellent in use of Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Proficient to use HR systems such as People Soft – HR GOLD and internet based local HR system 
  • Proven ability in building relationship and resourcing.
  • Proven track record in achieving great team performance and sound ability to work together with others and independently as required.
