Job Description

Terms of Reference for the Position of Director

NEPCA Director should carry out the following job but not limited to :

  • Conduct Internal Meetings between DB Members and Arbitrators appointed by the Parties as directed by DB members
  • Notify the Parties regarding appointment of DB Chairman and Presiding Arbitrator and date of Preliminary Meetings
  • Conduct Preliminary Meetings and prepare minutes of Preliminary Meetings
  • Conduct Hearing Meetings and prepare hearing minutes
  • Coordinate with the DB and Arbitral Tribunal for final award
  • Coordinate with the various organizations/institutions (Clients, Consultants and Contractors) for securing their participation in the trainings/workshops/seminars organized by NEPCA
  • Coordinate with Resource Persons for the trainings/workshop/seminars
  • Organize trainings/workshops/seminars 
  • Review all the incoming letters/documents and file these properly and brief to Chairperson/General Secretary for timely actions
  • Finalize and formalize all the outgoing letters in consultation with the  General Secretary
  • Coordinate in organizing interactions program with the external agencies including interaction program with High Court and Supreme Court Justices as directed by Executive Committee
  • Prepare Inventory of all the award documents and document these in order
  • Day to day NEPCA activities for smooth running of Secretariat
  • Guide NEPCA other staffs for proper operation of NEPCA Secretariat
  • Comply with the instructions given by Chairperson and General Secretary in connection with any matters related to NEPCA
  • Comply with directives received from Executive Committee
  • Periodically report to General Secretary regarding NEPCA's activities
  • Organize and Conduct activities in relating to cases conducted under NEPCA Rules
Job Specification

Qualification for the Position of Director

As referred in article 4 of NEPCA Administration and Financial Regulation:

  • Master Degree  or Equivalent in any disciplines
  • Having worked in any Public Organization in capacity of Executive Level for at least three years
  • Participation in Arbitration Training or Seminars
  • Knowledge of Computer Operation is preferable
  • Fluency in Nepali and English both spoken and written is essential
