Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Check-in and Check-out

  • Greet guests upon arrival, assist with check-in, and provide key information about hotel amenities.
  • Efficiently manage check-out procedures, process payments, and handle billing inquiries.

Reservations Management

  • Handle guest reservations via phone, email, and walk-ins.
  • Update and manage reservation systems, ensuring availability and room allocation are accurately recorded.

Guest Assistance

  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly, offering information about the hotel and Skywatch restaurant services.
  • Provide concierge services such as booking tours, transportation, and restaurant reservations.

Communication and Coordination

  • Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and the restaurant to ensure guest needs are met.
  • Ensure smooth communication between the front desk and management regarding guest issues or special requests.

Billing and Payment Processing

  • Handle payments, process credit card transactions, and manage cash flow.
  • Prepare bills and invoices, ensuring accuracy in charges for hotel stays and restaurant services.

Customer Service and Problem Solving

  • Address and resolve guest complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by providing excellent service at all times.

Administrative Duties

  • Maintain and update guest records, ensuring all information is accurate and confidential.
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, preparing reports, and handling communication.

Promotions and Upselling

  • Inform guests about hotel facilities, services, and special promotions (including Skywatch restaurant offers).
  • Upsell hotel services, such as room upgrades or restaurant reservations.

 

Job Specification

Education:

  • High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a front desk or customer service role in a hotel or restaurant environment (as well the fresher who have extra ordinary communication skills).

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (e.g., Opera) and basic office applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Personal Attributes:

  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Language Skills:

  • Fluency in English is essential; additional languages are a plus (e.g., Nepali, Hindi).

Technical Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems for restaurant transactions is desirable.

Appearance and Conduct:

  • Well-groomed, professional appearance with a positive attitude.
