Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to record, classify, and analyze financial transactions accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure all accounting records are maintained in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and classify financial transactions accurately, ensuring all journal entries are completed in a timely manner.
- Review and verify the accuracy of financial data before processing accounting entries.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations for various accounts to ensure alignment with client or company records.
- Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Prepare and process payroll entries, tax payments, and other related accounting tasks.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports as required.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Job Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing an accounting qualification).
- Previous experience in accounting or auditing, preferably in a public accounting firm.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally or Swastik.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software tools.
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
