Job Description
Jade Dragon, Nepal’s premier destination for authentic Chinese cuisine, is seeking an operations Manager to oversee and enhance the restaurant’s daily operations. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless coordination between the front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH), uphold exceptional service standards, maintain financial efficiency, and drive overall business performance.
This role requires a dynamic leader with strong organizational, financial, and interpersonal skills, capable of ensuring operational excellence while maintaining the brand’s authenticity and high-quality guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Management & Efficiency
Oversee and coordinate daily FOH and BOH operations for smooth restaurant performance.
Establish, implement, and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency and efficiency.
Ensure proper facility maintenance, cleanliness, and presentation of the restaurant.
Monitor all stages of food preparation and service to maintain top-quality standards and presentation.
2. Financial Management & Profitability
Prepare and monitor budgets, analyze sales and expense reports, and implement effective cost-control measures.
Manage inventory levels to minimize waste, prevent shortages, and maintain product freshness.
Build and manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely procurement of high-quality ingredients at competitive prices.
Collaborate with management and chefs on menu engineering and strategic pricing to maximize profitability.
3. Staff Management & Leadership
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of both FOH and BOH staff.
Develop and implement ongoing staff training programs to enhance service and product knowledge.
Create efficient staff schedules, oversee labor costs, and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
Motivate, mentor, and evaluate staff to foster a high-performance and positive work culture.
4. Customer Service & Satisfaction
Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences.
Handle and resolve customer complaints professionally and promptly.
Maintain a warm, welcoming, and comfortable dining environment aligned with Jade Dragon’s brand image.
5. Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment for both staff and customers.
6. Marketing & Strategic Planning
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns, events, and special offers.
Identify opportunities for operational improvement and business growth based on customer feedback and industry trends.
Job Specification
Job Specification:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a managerial or operational role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
Specialization: Prior experience in Chinese or Asian cuisine establishments will be an added advantage.
