Job Description
  •  Upload, update, review, edit and maintain Amnesty International Nepal's website on a regular basis.
  • Recommend and implement continuous improvement, responsiveness and search engine optimization and analyze.
  • Web metrics, such as visits, time on site, page views per visit, traffic mix, click-through rates etc. of the Amnesty Nepal webpage.
  • Keep track of the web server space and settings for effective performance.
  • Maintain and update Amensty Nepal's social media pages.
  • Support in technical designing of campaign and communications materials, such as newsletters, brochures and creating communication portals such as webinars etc.
  • Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems; diagnose and solve hardware or software faults.
  • Create and maintain Amnesty Nepal's Email addresses.
  • Support in updating and reviewing Amnesty Nepal's accounting and membership software.
  • Explore and try various technical innovations applied in the human rights field and workspaces of other Amnesty.
  • International entities and test their viability for Nepal.
  • Re-design Amnesty International Nepal's webpage to make it look more attractive, and continue editing and beautifying the content on a regular basis.
  • Perform other related duties as required and asked by the Director including through committing to field missions as and when required.

AI Nepal was recognized as "AI Nepal Section" by the International Executive Committee (IEC) of the AI in 1971. The first President of the organization was late Hrishikesh Shah. Due to the unfavorable situation to undertake its functions, AI Nepal was dissolved in 1982. Later, some of the AI's local Groups established and continued different activities of AI in Nepal.
