Job Description

Key responsibilities:

Planning:

  • Prepare quarterly and annual plan in line with program activities and local scenario
  • Plan for training of health workers and Female Community Health Volunteers for mobile based pregnancy registration, tracking and follow up
  • Plan health-related training and orientation program  at district/Palika level

Implementation:

  • Support Palikas for procurement and distribution of all prevention related commodities (Folic Acid tablets, Best Wishes cards, mobile phones, SIM cards) to health facilities
  • Support to facilitate training on mobile messaging for mobile based data collection of maternal health service utilization
  • Coordinate and support to facilitate health-related training at district and Palika level
  • Facilitate to conduct school health screening camps to identify possible conditions leading to disability in the Palika and follow up on referral
  • Support the conduction of nutrition education programs targeted to Golden 1000 days mothers

Coordination and Communication:

  • Work in close coordination with health facility staff in the community level as well as district level
  • Communicate and coordinate with province level focal person regarding any problem related to the system and the interface (dashboard) under mHealth program
  • Maintain good coordination with District Health Office and Health Section of local governments

Monitoring and Supervision:

  • Provide technical support to health coordinators to monitor data on dashboard under mHealth program on a daily basis 
  • Monitor the program with indicators and provide feedback to the concerned persons
  • Provide technical support to health coordinators in the supervision of FCHV and health facility staff on the use of mobile messaging
  • Support to organize review of the Best Wishes program on a timely manner

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare periodic report of Best Wishes Program and submit to district M&E Officer 
  • Keep updated documentation of the program activities and achievements, challenges and lessons learnt
Job Specification
  • Facilitation and community mobilization skills
  • Good analytical and research skills
  • Excellent communication skills both in Nepali and English
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Applicants with two-wheeler driving license will be preferred
