Job Description
  •  To assume full responsibility for all aspects of the entire Butler operation and to oversee the daily operations as well as controlling of all costs.
  • To do daily inspection of pantries and villas.
  • To ensure that all personnel within the Butler team comply with the latest health and sanitation regulations.
  • To ensure that the proper cleaning and maintenance procedures for equipment is followed at all times and that all sanitation log sheets are fully updated and completed at all times as per Company Policy.
  • To order any consumable items for the Butler department.
  • To execute all aspects of planning and organizing of upcoming events & functions for the Butler department and coordinating with the various department heads concerned.
  • To guide the Butlers to ensure that everyone is updated with relevant information at all times.
  • To conduct performance appraisals for the Butlers.
  • To review job applications and to interview and recommend suitable applicants accordingly.
  • To monitor the Butler inventory for the villas and to ensure that they are all kept neat and tidy.
  • To ensure that any maintenance issues in work areas are reported in a timely manner and that the work orders are followed up on accordingly.
  • To ensure that work registration forms for the Butler department are completed correctly and handed in to the Food and Beverage Manager in a timely manner.
  • To adhere to, and to ensure that everyone in the Butler department adheres to all company policies and procedures, manuals and directives.
  • To communicate with villa guests on a daily base to make sure they are happy with our services.
  • To control the operational cost (budget versus actual) of the Butler department as requested by Finance without lowering product and service standards.
  • To ensure that company property is maintained properly and treated with respect at all times.
  • To ensure that the proper use of personal protective equipment in the work areas is implemented at all times.
  • To ensure that safe lifting techniques are practiced at all times by everyone in the Butler department.
Job Specification
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English & Hindu. Knowledge of any other language is a plus.
  • Must have very good communication skills.
  • Must have very good administrative skills (proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and show attention to detail.
  • Must possess excellent leadership skills and the ability to interact with all levels of people.
  • Must be able to remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be able to communicate and implement corrective action steps in an effective, yet diplomatic fashion.
  • Needs to have an outgoing personality and has to possess a positive attitude, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor while making decisions in the best interest of the company at all times.
