Job Description
  • The Field Manager will lead the management of WVIN's projects/programmes, operationalization of organizational business processes, and collaboration of partnerships that will enable WVIN and its partners to improve and sustain the well¬being of the Most Vulnerable Children, their families and communities.
  • He/She will manage results, stakeholders, risks and team of a WVIN's Field Office and manage organizational strategic planning and continuous quality improvement.
Job Specification
  • Should have understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices.
  • Must have strong project management skills including the ability to plan and budget.
  • Manage performance of partners and contractors.
  • Must have strong leadership skills including the ability to communicate vision, provide direction, motivate results, inspire commitment to organizational objectives and priorities, as well as encourage feedback, learning and continuous improvement.
  • Good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity with strong collaboration skills to mobilize engagement and influence.
  • This role will be required to travel at least 60% of the time for project monitoring and managing key relationships.

Core competencies:

  • Excellent oral and written English & Nepali.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ready to take initiatives and willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility.
  • Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and able to work independently.
  • Strategic, creative, and innovative thinking with decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Good understanding of humanitarian Sector.
